Religious Education for Children
Mission Statement
It is the purpose of the religious education program at St. Mary's to assist parents in forming and increasing a spirit of faith in their children as well as to prepare the children for the celebration of the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation. Families who request participation in sacramental preparation programs must be registered, participating members of St. Mary Parish.
Sacremental Preparation Programs Available
- First Reconciliation - This sacrament brings God's love and forgiveness into our lives
- First Eucharist - Preparation for First Holy Communion.
- Confirmation - Preparation for Celebration of Confirmation.
- Family Catechesis - Supplemental Catholic Studies
- RCIA for Children - Preparation of older children to celebrate the Sacraments.
- The CORE Curriculum - A guide for parents to review with their children the basic tenets of the Catholic faith.
- Baptismal Preparation - See Baptismal Checklist and Baptismal Requirements for Children.
Faith Formation for Adults
- RCIA - This program is for unbaptized adults who desire baptism in the Catholic Church.
And for baptized adults who desire full communion with the Catholic Church.
