Religious Education for Children
Mission Statement
It is the purpose of the religious education program at St. Mary's to assist parents in forming and increasing a spirit of faith in their children as well as to prepare the children for the celebration of the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation. Families who request participation in sacramental preparation programs must be registered, participating members of St. Mary Parish.
Preparation Programs Available
- First Reconciliation - This sacrament brings God's love and forgiveness into our lives
- First Eucharist - Preparation for Holy Communion.
- Confirmation - Preparation for Confirmation.
- Home School Programs - Supplemental Catholic Studies
- RCIA for Children - Preparation of older children to celebrate the Sacraments.
- The CORE Curriculum - A guide for parents to review with their children the basic tenets of the Catholic faith.
Faith Formation for Adults
- RCIA - This program is for adults who desire baptism in the Catholic Church
- Faith-sharing Bible Groups - Group Bible studies.
- Catholic Bible Study - Formal study of Sacred Scriptures
